Xiaomi has launched the first global consumer smartwatch: The Mi Watch Revolve. It comes with a round screen and a proprietary operating system, as opposed to the original Mi Watch. For sports and fitness, it is a really interesting smartwatch, but it also provides a lot of options for customization. But is this the best smartwatch you can find in the world, or can you get smartwatches that are even better? This is a contrast between the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve and one of the trendiest wearables of the moment, the OPPO watch. Let's figure out which one is better and the key differences between their criteria and characteristics.
Layout
The Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve looks more like a real watch due to its circular display and it looks very stylish. But despite its square screen, the OPPO Watch still looks elegant as it is made with quality materials and great attention to detail: its style resembles the Apple Watch, but you get two physical buttons instead of a crown to control the user interface. Do you prefer a computer with a circular smartwatch or a square computer? Let us know at the end of the article using the comment box.
Specs and programming
The OPPO watch's hardware department is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve. The notebook is powered by a large version of the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset sold on the worldwide market. The SoC comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage that you can use to record music or other files and to install apps. The Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve doesn't include your files with internal storage and looks more like a fitness tracker. Wear OS is run by OPPO Watch, which gives you the option to install a lot of extra apps and more functionality, especially when you pair your smartwatch with an Android phone. You don't get the features with the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve, but you get more sports modes available for better monitoring your physical activity. The OPPO Watch is a great all-rounder at the end of the day, while the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve is a better sports smartwatch.
Pin up
The OPPO watch's square shape enhances usability: Thanks to UI elements put in a more open way, the smartwatch becomes easier to use. This is a major benefit of the OPPO Watch, but when it comes to aesthetics, it may look uglier than its counterpart. The OPPO Watch also comes with a bigger screen than the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve: it has a 1.91-inch display in its 46 mm version. The image quality of the OPPO Watch is also superior to that of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve: the wearable supports the AMOLED panel's 100 percent DCI P3 coverage. But the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve still offers an excellent display with AMOLED technology and a 454 x 454-pixel resolution that, thanks to the smaller diagonal, offers high pixel density. Notice that the Always-On monitor is powered by Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve, which allows you to check it even when the laptop is on standby.
The Battery
The Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve battery has a power of 420 mAh and, on a single charge, lasts up to 14 days. Via a docking station, it can be paid. The 430mAh battery of the OPPO watch only lasts 30 hours on a single charge, but in power saving mode it can reach 21 days. The OPPO watch embraces the technology of VOOC flash charging and is able to charge 46 percent in just 16 minutes. Notice that this information is for the smartwatch's 46 mm version, although there is a smaller battery for the 41 mm model.
Access and Sensors
Both the OPPO Watch and Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve have an outstanding heart rate monitor, GPS communication, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, of course. You also get eSIM support with the OPPO Watch, which allows it to be separate from your phone, though cellular connectivity is not included in the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve. The First beat motion algorithm is a really cool feature of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve that, much like pro athletes and major sports teams around the world, is able to monitor health indicators.
Price
With a price of € 250 / $294 for the 46 mm version, OPPO Watch entered the global market, although the price of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve for Europe is still uncertain. In India, the price of the smartwatch is Rs. 9,999, which at the actual change is roughly EUR 116 / $136. The OPPO Watch won the comparison with its better display, hardware, software, and more unless sports tracking is your only focus and you need more professional tracking. But much longer battery life is provided by the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve. Between these two, which is your favorite smartwatch?
